Norwich Earth Hour follows the movement Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007.
The past 29th of March 2008 we made possible an incredible success. Earth Hour happened in more than 370 cities and towns in 10 countries across the globe, switching off their lights for an hour.
In Norwich, The Forum was packed with people dancing, playing music and having a great time.
Some of the places that took part in Norwich Earth Hour are:
- Norwich Castle
- Anglican cathedral
- The Great Hospital
- St. Andrew's and Blackfriars' Hall
- The Guildhall
- Dragon Hall

I am in tears at the scars which deface Gaia's fair face. I could hear her heart pulsate with joy as the 8:00 Earth Hour celebrations began. How I danced! I danced around the bonfire in the kitchen, singing praises to Al Gore. I held a dramatic reading from Suzuki's wise words. I watched An Inconvenient Truth by candlelight. I accidentally burned the house down- but what matter is that when in a hundred years or so, a new ecosystem would have sprouted in its place. My heart is filled with distaste for those who mock Earth Hour, the most significant day of the year. They don't understand...They don't know Gaia like I do.
